Back to Usual after the Fire
Firefighters, even some residents with hoses, are now in clean-up mode with fires contained to 85%. Some west-side roads remain closed, but for the most part, the metropolitan area is back to life as usual. None of the coastal communities were ever affected. If you would like to help, the American Red Cross (800.448.3543) and local groups (803.319.0385) seek donations. Coming to the beach? Be assured that there is NO danger or inconvenience.
