HOV Lanes Coming to South Carolina
Across in places where traffic congestion has snarled travel lanes, urban planners have built special "high-occupancy vehicle" or HOV lanes that allow only vehicles with more than 1 passenger to travel there. The reduction in vehicles on these special lanes moves traffic faster for multi-passenger commuter vehicles and emergency vehicles. This concept is coming to South Carolina, perhaps I-35 and I-385 around Greenville.
