Clean-Up at Withers Swash Park in Myrtle Beach
Neighbors helping neighbors in August. Volunteers picked up trash, pulled old tires from the mud, and dodged bugs to clean up a popular park in one of the two "sweeps" held there every year. Targeting the marsh bordering the lake, people made the park more accessible for children and adults enjoying the out-of-doors. Home to egrets, otters, and other creatures, as well as sports-lovers, the park also holds clinics for children, hikes, and other events.
