H5N1 or H1N1? It's Flu Season
Preparations begin early this year to minimize the spread of flu. Expectations warn of a higher than usual wave this winter of upper respiratory infections across the nation, for several months at least. While state health departments gear up to offer vaccines, local drugstore operators have begun to offer regular flu shots early. Swine flu vaccine could be ready by mid-October. Tips include practicing good hygiene and staying home if sick.
