Historic Socastee Replaces a Local Bridge
Gradually our infrastructure is being upgraded. Here in historic Socastee in Horry County, a popular bridge on Peach Tree Road that spans a tributary to the Intracoastal Waterway will be closed for replacement of an 8-week construction project. Traffic is detoured to SC 544 and Mill Pond Road. For local, perhaps a detour. For visitor, a chance to tour.
