Our Coastal Weather
Fickle, beautiful, changeable, and dramatic. All describe our coastal weather - sunny and calm, windy and torrential! So many distinctive characteristics, as any weather for any area has, yet one added element in our environment which cannot be ignored is the sea. Both interrelate. On average, the Grand Strand sees the effects of a major storm every 3.36 years, with the last being in 2008 (T.S. Hanna), so perhaps 2009 is not our year.
